An a-MAY-zing month for big wins

A particularly jaw-dropping prize was scooped up in the Lotto draw held on 18th May. That’s when a very fortunate player landed an incredible £3.9MMillion prize.

Lotto created a further 17 millionaires in May… a-MAY-zing stuff indeed. May was also the month we met lucky Lotto winner Toni Henderson. The hard-working mum from County Durham was still coming to terms with her £1MMillion Lotto win, but was keeping her feet firmly on the ground.

Toni told us, “I am so unbelievably grateful, but it’s going to take a lot of time to sink in.”

The 32-year-old has no plans to stop working as she feels it sets a good example for her son. Toni said, “It gives my son a good upbringing and he can learn the value of working hard.”

May was also a great month for EuroMillions players. No less than nine of them became millionaires thanks to the UK Millionaire Maker.

We met George Muir and his partner of 28 years, Sandra McCormack, who celebrated a £145,757.50 EuroMillions win by popping a cork at a site overlooking the Firth of Forth. Meanwhile, five lucky players each won the top Set For Life prize in May. That’s £10,000 every month for the next 30 years!

Turning our attention to Thunderball we can reveal that two players each landed the game’s top prize of £500,000 in May.

We met one of the game’s winners, Edinburgh’s Raymond Young, 63, who retired from his job at British Gas shortly before landing his fantastic Thunderball prize.
